This hotel was simply wonderful.in every way imaginable. The staff were very attentive, chatty, but not in your face. They would do anything they could to make your stay as perfect as possible. Excellent with local information and ideas, marvellous with logistics (valet parking was an unexpected treat)...just genuinely lovely people who cared a lot about their service. The rooms are beautiful and the kitchen very well equipped with clean, modern top brand appliances and utensils, crockery etc. The location could not be better, quiet, exceptional views, secure behind locked gates, literally right on the lake (crystal clear, I swam in it twice). Pool clean, warm plenty of loungers and lovely fluffy towels. Restaurant is simply outstanding...best evening meal I've had in years. Exceptional. Breakfast was also very good. It's pricey, but still very good value. Special thanks to D on reception and D the Pool/Lake attendant. Lovely humans and their service was exemplary and a credit to the hotel. I/we will return.

I called the hotel to make a reservation. The price quoted I felt was excessive, so did not make the reservation. Out of interest, I checked the hotel on a popular booking website. Shocked to find that the website quoted a price that was nearly 50% less than that quoted directly by the hotel for a Lake View Apartment. I raised this to the hotel staff, however no interest in my observation. I also asked to make a reservation for 2024, again the price offered directly by the hotel was FAR in excess of the booking website. In summary, I recommend this hotel, however, please book via a booking site, as this will enable the savings to cover the cost of dinner for 2 in their restaurant.

Following one-night stay spent at the facility a few weeks ago with my partner, I would like to point out some events that we were sorry to welcome that made our stay unfortunately unpleasant despite the high expectations and level that the facility aims to offer its clients. I will preface this by saying that the general kindness of all the staff (with due exceptions listed below), the quality of the food, comfort, room cleanliness, and maintenance of the facility proved to be very positive. However, I feel it is my duty to point out the following shortcomings that occurred at the food hall that we feel are serious on the part of a restaurant that considers itself to be of a high standard. During the dinner through which we opted for a wine course paired with the tasting menu, the person who we believe was the dining room manager, addressed himself haughtily from the first moment of the evening. Despite the kindness of the waiters who did everything they could to provide us with an experience up to par and who with great professionalism ensured excellent service, at various times the feedback and service offered by the person in charge made us have the distinct feeling that we were not treated up to par and deserving of the kindness and cordiality expected during such an experience. In particular, it was politely pointed out that we opted for two different tasting menus with related wines that were initially served backwards. Instead of having understood the request, the manager's response that rendered us taken aback was grumpily that he expected us to share the two different menus and related wines, suggesting that it was therefore unimportant to whom was served which dish and wine paired. Attitude that was then confirmed as all subsequent dishes came out, ignoring and belittling our simple request. The overall feeling, therefore, was that of being scorned as if we had dined in a normal trattoria willing to share courses in a boutique setting such as that decried by the establishment. The rudeness on the part of the person we believe to be in charge of the dining room accompanied us until the last minute of the dinner. Breakfast, unfortunately, did not have a more positive outcome as the same presumptuous treatment was offered to us by the lady whom we consider to be fairly in charge of the dining room. The unequal treatment here, too, was evident from the start as we were invited to sit only at the tables already set on the inner side of the room. A few minutes later, on the other hand, another customer arrived who, unlike us, was not constrained to the set tables only, sitting rightly in the glass window with no constraint imposed and being served immediately before us. Having witnessed this difference in treatment on the part of the headwaiter, the rudeness was confirmed by waiting to request a coffee that, waiting in vain for the arrival of a waiter who later arrived following our call. The waiter himself, however, was very polite. Having viewed the breakfast menu the night before in the room and mindful of the fact that it was possible to choose certain types of egg cooking, I requested a portion of poached eggs from the kitchen. Following the denied request, we received three different responses within 5 minutes. 1 - it was not possible to have that type of cooking because the kitchen was already busy with lunch preparation. Understandable at 9:45 a.m. but not forgivable since it was a type of egg blatantly offered on the card that was not brought to us. 2 - upon request for further explanation to the dining room manager, her response was that I could only order poached eggs with an additional charge because they have had past experience of over-ordering and wastage. Understandable but not justifiable from a hotel of this category. 3 - aware of the fact of this disservice, the manager apologized by offering us a slice of Neapolitan Pastiera to take away. Appreciated gesture that we welcomed but unfortunately did not resolve the feeling of disservice. I hope this can be of help for improvements.
